Looking at the overall watch, the current VS V2 version weighs around 133 to 136 grams. The genuine watch is approximately 135 grams, so the weight is very close to the original. The dial gradient is especially beautiful under strong light, where the different shades of green become more visible. In darker lighting, it shifts toward a deeper green tone, which also looks very elegant.

The luminous material is evenly applied. The date font and Cyclops magnification are well executed, and the latest version also features an improved hand-stack center. The small cap-shaped center pinion is cleanly made, with sharp and clearly visible engravings inside.

The V2 bezel uses a weighted construction together with white-gold electroplating, so it does not feel light or flimsy. Its light reflection is bright and crisp, helping recreate the sparkling appearance of the genuine fluted bezel instead of the dull, lifeless look often seen on cheaper versions.

VS has also done a clean job with the center pinion. The solid center construction and tapered finishing create a smooth, rounded appearance under the light. It may look like a simple detail, but it is actually difficult to execute properly. Smaller factories often use a hollow-looking center pinion or leave the finishing too rough, which is easy to notice at a glance.

The watch is powered by the latest Dandong 3235 integrated movement with 27 jewels. This is currently one of the most stable movement platforms used across models such as the Yacht-Master, 41mm Submariner, and Datejust models. The movement runs smoothly, produces relatively low rotor noise, and has proven to be reliable in daily use.

The bridge finishing and engravings are also well done, while the bracelet-to-case connection is tight and refined. These details show how mature the VS Datejust has become.

The weighted, white-gold-plated bezel is not exclusive to VS, but VS Factory’s quality control and final adjustment are firmly in the first tier of the market. That point is important: even when different factories use a similar movement, the difference in assembly quality, regulation, and final inspection can still be significant.
